Major Factors of Success (make sure you read this and read it good Chump!!) >:-|
Whenever I talk to you Chumps about training I have to also make sure that you pansies understand the importance of goals. See mst trainers and coaches get stuck in a mental rut where they believe that coaching is limited to just being on the field, court of environment of play. This is not true and the thought processes of these Chumps are limited by their experiences and ingenuity.
Now here’s my message to you
The first step in getting the most out of somebody is to clarify what you want to accomplish. Many Chumps and chumpettes ultimately fail (and fail miserably) because their exercise objectives are too shallow. In other words, if your only objective is to drop your weight to a certain level and to “get toned” then your building your hopes on shifting sand rather than a solid foundation.
Dropping a couple of pounds and toning up is actually pretty easy if that’s all you want to do. It starts to get difficult when you begin interlocking that objective with other objectives, such as controlling your weight forever, exercising 4 times a week (no matter what), changing your eating habits and improving your fitness levels so that you can see your children’s children grow old and trying not be be a Chump all your life!!
One individual I got to know lost 82 pounds in 6 months. He was determined to get the weight off, and he did! But months later he once made the statement, “Losing the weight was the easiest thing I ever did. Believing it could happen to me was the hard part that took twenty-three years.”
Well there are two lessons in that statement, one more obvious than the other. The obvious point is that getting in shape is more dependent on your beliefs than on any other factor and I agree with that but there’s also a hidden lesson.
This Chump did lose a massive amount of weight in just 6 months and he did lose more, several times in the time frame of 3 years. But in that same time period he also subsequently and even quicker gained it back and is still some five years later working his way through exercise regimens, food delivery services, and lingering emotional problems.
Why? He had too few interlocking objectives governing his “getting in shape” strategies. His only clear objectives were to achieve high-fitness level benchmarks and those objectives alone are relatively easy to achieve. If you do not connect them with other governing objectives like, sustaining lasting relationships with loved ones, preventing recurring eating habits from occurring, achieving certain retained fitness levels, and so on – then you are setting yourself up for failure. That is why Ole Coach truly believes in the concept of Accurate Thinking. And for all you Chumps, this should already be in your personal library and archives of materials, not matter what you do!)
So ideal one is to carefully construct an interlocking structure of goals, objectives and values to direct your exercise efforts. And make sure you grab a hold of Accurate Thinking so that you can understand how to remove yourself from the land of Chumpdom – where all the Chumps live.
