Introduction
===========

Look was provided with the distinct privilege and pleasure to work with one of the best athletes in the country just recently (who will remain unnamed) and I was asking him about his strength and conditioning program and the overall coaching that he was receiving.

This dude sang the PRAISES of his coaches and his “team”.  After our 30 minute consulting session was over, he was madder than s—t at his coaching situation and his team.

Why?

Because things look great when you don’t know what you are looking for.

I’m not sure who some of these coaches out here think that they are fooling. Because they are not fooling me. They are fooling AND HURTING their clients and students.

Look, follow these small guidelines:

1. if you don’t have a background in Strength and Conditioning, then call someone who does.
2. If you start someone on training program – MAKES SURE ALL OF THE APPROPRIATE ASSESSMENTS are completed first (the higher quality the athlete, the more in depth the assessment).
3. If you don’t know something, ASK!! Don’t go walking around like you know. The intelligence comes in asking (just ask Socrates).

And last but not least…..stop looking around for everything that is free.  Some things are going to actually cost you some money.  Man up and pay the cost to be the boss.

What’s Up?
============

Ole Coach has been on a brief hiatus. He was bone-dead tired from the Olympic run this year and is in the process of starting another Olympic cycle with a new set of athletes and this he is looking forward to.

Ole Coach is looking forward to being Dr. Ole Coach in 2009. Ole Coach Ferguson is putting the finishing touches on his dissertation and it should be tightened up in no time.

On another note, 2009 will be here before you know it and the one thing that Ole Coach cannot allow is for you to bring that same doggone Chump Behavior into 2009 that you illustrated in 2008. It just ain’t gonna get it. It’s not going to get you where you want to be financially, athletically, academically, or personally.  So do what you have to do to repel the chump in you and spray some Chump Repellent on your situation today. >>> http://www.ChumpRepellent.com <<<
